I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences. My background includes serving as the director of a domestic violence shelter, where I worked closely with individuals and families healing from abuse, trauma, and significant life changes. I believe therapy provides a supportive space to better understand yourself, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or struggling to move forward after a difficult experience, I strive to provide a compassionate and collaborative environment where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. My approach is trauma-informed and tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based practices to help clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, improve emotional well-being, and develop greater confidence in managing life's challenges. In addition to my work with adults, I am a Certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Therapist and Trainer with over a decade of experience supporting young children and their families. Through a family systems lens, I help parents better understand their child's behavior, strengthen parent-child relationships, and develop practical skills to create positive change at home. While PCIT is designed for children ages 2–7, many of the parenting strategies and family-focused interventions can be adapted to meet the needs of older children and families as well. I have also received specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which supports children and families in healing from traumatic experiences and reducing trauma-related anxiety, emotional distress, and behavioral concerns.
