Let’s be real—it’s not easy to stay regulated in the world today. There are constant demands, distractions, and pressures pulling us away from being present with ourselves and focused on what matters most. Stress can quietly become the default, often to the point where we don’t fully recognize how much we’re carrying. It impacts not only ourselves, but our relationships. Choosing to begin therapy as an individual or couple is a meaningful commitment. Therapy offers a rare and intentional space to slow down, tune in, and give yourself or your relationship the same care and attention you so often give to others and to the responsibilities of daily life. Here are some things I'd like you to know about me: - I love this work! I am deeply passionate about my helping role. I work very well with a wide range of people. I have a unique healing relationship with all of my clients and that relationship is a very important part of what makes therapy effective. My individual clients are adult men and women who are: (1) Executives / successful business owners who place a high value on family. They've achieved a lot of success in life but are having a hard time relaxing and feeling fully present; (2) Parents / caregivers who have been keeping it all together for a long time but are starting to feel the effects of chronic stress and exhaustion; (3) Young adults who are highly anxious and depressed. They will either reach out on their own, or are referred by a concerned parent; (4) Seeking specialized trauma therapy to heal PTSD, C-PTSD, or the effects of a recent trauma; (5) Concerned about an unhealthy pattern of substance use that is causing guilt, shame and other problems. Sometimes they are referred by a doctor or other mental health professional. I also work well with couples who are committed partners: They might keep having the same fight — one reaches, the other pulls away, and both end up feeling alone. Their relationship isn't broken; they’re stuck in a damaging cycle and need some help with shifting the dance and healing from the stress that this has caused. My work with couples is grounded in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). - I'm a certified EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that taps into your brain's natural healing process. If you'd like, we can determine if stuck memories and experiences from the past keep getting triggered in your present - leading you to feel like you're not in control of your emotions and behaviors. I offer 60, 90, and 120-minute EMDR therapy sessions. - My practice is grounded in respect for all identities and lived experiences. I will offer you a safe, affirming space for exploration, healing, and growth—without judgment.
