You may be the person everyone else relies on while quietly carrying your own stress, anxiety, grief, or self-doubt. Perhaps you're navigating academic pressures, career uncertainty, relationship changes, motherhood, or questions about your identity and future. Whatever you're carrying, you deserve support, too. Who I Help I work with adults ages 18 and older, with a special focus on: College students and young adults Pregnant and postpartum women BIPOC women Individuals navigating anxiety and depression Grief and loss Trauma-related concerns Life transitions and adjustment challenges Individuals experiencing periods of crisis or needing safety planning support A Perspective Shaped by Experience As a Black woman therapist and first-generation college student, I understand the unique challenges that can come with balancing personal goals, family expectations, cultural experiences, and major life transitions. While every person's journey is different, these experiences have strengthened my commitment to creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, understood, and respected. I strive to provide a supportive, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My goal is to help clients feel empowered to define success, healing, and growth on their own terms. Why Cardinal Hope and Healing? Cardinal Hope and Healing was born from both professional experience and personal loss. After losing my mother, I gained a deeper understanding of the ways grief can reshape our lives and challenge our sense of stability, identity, and hope. That experience reinforced my passion for supporting others through grief, trauma, and life's unexpected transitions. My goal is to provide the kind of compassionate, affirming space where clients can process their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward healing at their own pace. What You Can Expect In our work together, you can expect compassion, honesty, collaboration, and practical support. During our first sessions, we'll identify your goals, explore what has brought you to therapy, and create a treatment plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you. Therapy is not about having all the answers—it's about creating space to explore, heal, and grow. Where hope lives, healing begins. If you're ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
