Andrea (she/her/ella) is a bilingual therapist serving clients as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) at Clarity El Paso under the supervision of Cristal Martinez Acosta, LPC-S. Andrea, a proud fronteriza born and raised in El Paso, is passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces where clients can reconnect with themselves and their stories. With over five years of experience in the mental health field, Andrea began her career as a case worker, walking alongside individuals and families as they navigated complex life challenges. Her background has shaped her compassionate, grounded approach to therapy and deepened her understanding of the systemic barriers many clients face. Andrea has supported adults, teens, LGBTQ+ individuals, and members of the Latinx community in outpatient, group, and nonprofit settings. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at El Paso and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy. She also incorporates somatic practices to support full-body healing and reconnection. Andrea approaches therapy through a culturally responsive and socially conscious lens. She believes that healing is not one-size-fits-all—and that honoring identity, culture, and tradition is essential to understanding ourselves more fully. She is especially passionate about helping clients explore who they are, reclaim their inner wisdom, and move toward healing that is rooted in both mind and body. Sessions are based on a sliding scale. She also takes Cigna and Aetna.
