Hi, I’m Andrea, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. I have over 20 years of experience supporting children and adolescents across a variety of mental health settings and within the public school system. I am deeply passionate about helping each child recognize and build on their unique strengths, overcome obstacles, develop new skills, and cultivate healthy, meaningful relationships. I believe therapy is most effective when it is engaging, collaborative, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where children feel understood, respected, and empowered to express themselves. Through play, talk therapy, and evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, trauma processing, and mindfulness practices, I help children learn to manage emotions, build resilience, develop social skills, and strengthen self-esteem. My approach is strengths-based and client-centered, meaning I focus on what each child does well and guide them in discovering their own solutions and coping strategies. I partner closely with families to ensure that the support children receive in therapy carries over into daily life, fostering growth, confidence, and the tools they need to thrive. Above all, I am committed to helping children feel safe, heard, and capable as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward becoming the best version of themselves.
