Hi, I’m Andi White, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona and the founder of the EMDR Counseling Collective. I’ve spent more than 25 years working in behavioral health and over 15 years as a therapist, helping adults heal from trauma, loss, and complex life experiences that can leave people feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. My path into trauma therapy grew out of years of working across hospitals, community mental health programs, private practice, and crisis services. Again and again, I saw how unresolved trauma quietly shapes people’s lives—impacting relationships, self-worth, physical health, and the way we move through the world. I became deeply committed to helping people not just cope with those experiences, but actually process and heal them. Today my practice focuses primarily on trauma-informed therapy for adults, with specialties including: PTSD and complex trauma Betrayal trauma and narcissistic abuse recovery Complicated grief and traumatic loss Anxiety and chronic stress Attachment wounds and relationship trauma Chronic illness, pain, and medical trauma My primary treatment approach is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based method that helps the brain reprocess traumatic experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity. I often integrate EMDR with somatic therapies, parts work, and other trauma-informed approaches to support deep, lasting change. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted EMDR Therapy™ in collaboration with medical providers. In some cases, ketamine can help reduce internal defenses and allow people to access emotions and trauma material more safely and effectively during the healing process. What matters most to me is creating a space where people feel safe, understood, and respected. Trauma can make people believe something is wrong with them. In reality, many of the symptoms people struggle with are the nervous system’s attempt to survive overwhelming experiences. Therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping your mind and body finally finish processing what they’ve been carrying. If you’re ready to move beyond just managing symptoms and start working toward deeper healing, I’d be honored to support you in that process.
