Introduction

I am Andrew J. Heinz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, and life transitions. My work is grounded in Somatic Experiencing®, a body and nervous system based approach to healing trauma developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, alongside Internal Family Systems and trauma-informed care. I am currently completing my Advanced Training as a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing® International. Healing is not just understanding something new. It is having a new experience the body can actually integrate. The nervous system is not broken. It is doing exactly what it learned to do. And when the right ingredients are present, something begins to shift. The people I work best with are self-aware, often high-functioning, and still feel like something essential is not shifting. They want to actually feel different, not just know more. Whether you are navigating anxiety, unresolved grief, trauma, addiction, or the quiet weight of something that has never fully healed, you are in the right place. I serve clients throughout Northern Colorado and the greater Denver area. I am also the founder of the Somatic Healing Network at somatichealingnetwork.com, a vetted directory connecting individuals with nervous system informed care. Real healing is possible. For you. I would be honored to walk alongside you. Somatic Experiencing® and SEP™ are registered trademarks of Peter A. Levine PhD and Somatic Experiencing International. This practice is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Somatic Experiencing International.
