Introduction

Your Story Matters. Your Strength Has Always Been There. Sometimes life asks us to carry things we were never meant to carry alone. You may have spent years being the person others depend on—the advocate, the caregiver, the problem solver, the one who keeps showing up even when things feel exhausting. Maybe you have learned to adapt, push through, or put your own needs aside while navigating family challenges, relationships, trauma, mental health struggles, or major life changes. Therapy is a place where you no longer have to carry everything by yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood—not judged, labeled, or defined by the challenges you have faced. Together, we can explore your experiences, understand the patterns that have shaped you, and uncover the strengths that have helped you survive and continue moving forward. A Career Built Around Helping People Navigate Life’s Hardest Moments Throughout my career, I have supported individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging experiences. My background includes inpatient care, crisis intervention, psychiatric care, medical social work, family conflict, complex family dynamics, and community-based services. I have worked with survivors of abuse, individuals impacted by childhood trauma and adverse experiences, substance use, mental health concerns, neurodiversity, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. These experiences have taught me to look beyond what is happening today and understand the person behind the struggle—their history, relationships, strengths, and the experiences that have shaped them. As a TBRI® Certified Practitioner, I bring specialized knowledge of trauma, attachment, and relationship-based care to my work with individuals and families. I believe people are resilient, even after experiencing profound adversity. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and respected while helping you work through the past, strengthen your sense of self, and build a healthier path forward.A Space to Understand Yourself and Move Forward My approach to therapy is grounded in connection, curiosity, and respect. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest about your experiences and supported enough to explore new possibilities. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, learning new ways to cope, creating healthier relationships, and finding a path forward that feels aligned with who you are. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their goals, build practical skills, and recognize the strengths that may have been overlooked along the way. I work with individuals experiencing: - Anxiety, panic attacks, stress, emotional overwhelm, and burnout - Workplace stress, career challenges, and work-life balance - Perfectionism, high-achiever stress, and performance pressure - Depression, mood concerns, and emotional regulation - Trauma, PTSD, childhood trauma, and adverse life experiences - Women’s mental health and identity concerns - Relationship changes, divorce, and navigating new seasons of life - Relationship conflict, unhealthy patterns, toxic relationships, and communication challenges - Family conflict, toxic family systems, difficult relationships, and family dynamics - People-pleasing, codependency, over-responsibility, and boundary-setting - ADHD, neurodiversity, executive functioning, and organization challenges - Self-worth, self-esteem, confidence, body image, and self-acceptance - Grief, loss, and major life changes - College mental health, young adult transitions, independence, and life direction - Caregiver stress, compassion fatigue, and caregiver burnout - Adoption-related experiences for adoptees, birth parents, and adoptive families - Foster care experiences, attachment concerns, and family system challenges - Substance use, recovery, and related life challenges - Life transitions, personal growth, identity exploration, and finding purpose - Coping skills, stress management, and building resilience I use evidence-based approaches while recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Treatment is personalized to your experiences, goals, and needs and may include: - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI- Certified) - Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills - Trauma-informed approaches - Person-centered therapy - Strengths-based therapy - Solution-focused therapy - Motivational Interviewing - Mindfulness and emotional regulation strategies - Psychoeducation and practical coping tools Work with Me You do not have to wait until things feel impossible before reaching out for support. Whether you are trying to heal from past experiences, understand yourself better, navigate a difficult transition, or create healthier patterns moving forward, therapy can provide a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. You have spent a lot of time navigating life's challenges—now it may be time to make space for yourself. Schedule with me today to begin. "Your experiences have shaped you, but they do not have to limit who you become."
