Introduction

Mental health issues don’t exist in isolation—they impact relationships, parenting, work/school, and even your physical health. I use a range of “talk therapy” and neuro-based approaches such as EMDR to address all forms of trauma (PTSD), depression/anxiety, and personality and mood disorders. Additionally, while my specialty is trauma, childbirth trauma, pregnancy, postpartum, and infertility issues have a special place in my heart. With over a decade of experience as a childbirth professional, I’ve seen how childbirth trauma often goes unrecognized, causing many to struggle in silence, weighed down by shame or fear of judgment. Since mental health challenges can influence relationships, I work with couples to address conflict, improve communication, build connection, address sexual issues, and more. If separation/divorce is on the table, I can help you and your partner work towards a cooperative separation, and find peace with it, and if needed, a healthy team-parenting mindset. I also enjoy working with teens as they navigate the complexities of adolescence, social issues, romantic relationships, self-concept, academic issues, transitioning to adulthood, and changing family relationships. I try to make it fun and engaging for them, while also promoting growth and change. Raising a teen? I’ve got parents and families covered too! One of my best strengths is the humanity I bring to the room. (FYI, I'm also human...just like you!) I build real connections with my clients to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable exploring any topic, no matter how sensitive.
