I am a native of Montgomery, Alabama and educated in the Montgomery County School System. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University, and Doctorate of Ministry in Family Therapy (summa cum laude) from Amridge University. I am licensed by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Marriage and Family Therapy as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern under the Supervision of Dr. Samuel Jones Ph.D, LMFT, SIT. My clinical and counseling training includes experience in the behavioral health setting, christian counseling centers, and the local church ministry environment. I am a certified SYMBIS ( Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts ) Facilitator, Board Certified Christian Counselor and Board Certified Pastoral Counselor. Some common issues I have helped clients overcome are parent child issues, couple’s conflict, anxiety, self harming, and identity issues. I have over 26 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and teenagers with a passion for working with older teenagers, college students, young adults, young couples and adult professional women. In addition, as a licensed minister with over 24 years of leadership experience in the local church setting, I understand the unique needs of church staff leaders and the importance of having a safe space to process issues specific to those in church leadership.
