Licensed Master Social Worker Hello, my name is Angela Lois. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) dedicated to supporting adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients as they navigate life’s emotional, psychological, and situational challenges. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Iona College, where I graduated Cum Laude. My professional background is complemented by interfaith leadership training, which has deepened my appreciation for culturally responsive and holistic care. I bring extensive experience working in hospital, correction, community mental health, and crisis settings. Currently, I serve as a psychiatric clinician in a regional hospital, where I collaborate closely with interdisciplinary medical teams to provide crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, care coordination, and discharge planning. My work includes supporting individuals experiencing acute psychiatric distress, substance use challenges, housing instability, and complex medical and mental health needs. My clinical approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-based interventions. I also incorporate wellness recovery strategies, visualization exercises, and activities of daily living (ADL) support to promote stability, independence, and long-term well-being. I have a strong focus on anxiety, depression, crisis intervention, substance use awareness and recovery, and stress management. I am known for my empathetic listening style, sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, and ability to build rapport with individuals during vulnerable moments. I believe healing is a personal journey, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and respectful space where clients feel heard, empowered, and capable of change. I am deeply committed to fostering resilience and walking alongside my clients as they work toward healing, balance, and meaningfu
