We all have unique experiences that can make us feel isolated, misunderstood and alone. Searching for a therapist can make these feelings even louder, whether this is your first time in therapy, or you come with a long history of mental health struggles (including hospitalization or inpatient care). I am ready to hear your story, without judgement, and in support of your unique path. My experience and passion is to work with people who have a history of mental health struggles or are newly diagnosed with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and complex trauma, and burnout. I can use traditional talk or art therapy. I’m a registered art therapist. Art Therapy is great if you are looking for a new way to understand, express, and process your emotions and experiences. No art skills are required! Art Therapy can be helpful when you can’t find the right words, or words simply can’t express what you want to say. Even if you can articulate what you are struggling with, art therapy activates a different part of the brain that often leads to new insights and reflections. As my client, I will work to empower you and instill hope, while giving you skills to build resilience in pursuing what really matters to you. I am a trauma-informed, feminist art therapist. I adapt my integrative approach based on client needs, often drawing on Adlerian principles, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, and Parts work. I focus on your strengths, and on empowering you to take action in your own life.
