The relationship you have with your therapist is one of the greatest indicators of whether or not your therapy will be successful. My goal is to provide a space where you feel truly heard and understood. I will build openness and transparency into treatment from day one so that have a say on how you want to heal. For those who want the academia speech, my approach is based on Existential Theory, Relational-Cultural Feminism, Polyvagal Theory, and the Expressive Therapies Continuum. I switch between Art Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approaches in session as needed. If all of that is jibberish, here is the TLDR: Our search for meaning directly affects our mental health. Trauma work is complicated and requires both telling your story and listening to your body. Art interventions should be intentional not random. And you should have a say in your own mental health treatment. If you are dealing with a major life transition, experiencing deconstruction or spiritual harm, facing anxiety and depression, or struggling with persistent trauma symptoms, I would love to help you find a way to move forward and heal.
