I’m Angelica, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy for adults, teens, couples, and families in Nashville, TN. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you should feel genuinely understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. I became a therapist because I have always been drawn to the privilege of witnessing people’s stories—their struggles, strengths, resilience, and growth. I find it incredibly meaningful to walk alongside others as they navigate difficult seasons of life and discover a deeper understanding of themselves. My own experiences witnessing loved ones navigate mental health challenges have also shaped my compassion and reinforced the importance of having support, connection, and a safe space to be heard. I was born and raised in Massachusetts and earned my Master of Social Work from Boston University in 2012. My journey as a therapist has taken me from the Northeast to Colorado and now to Nashville, allowing me to work with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. Each place I’ve called home has deepened my appreciation for the importance of connection, community, and the experiences that shape who we are. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and individualized. I believe our experiences, relationships, and environments influence how we understand ourselves and navigate the world. In therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while building the skills and insight needed to manage challenges, strengthen relationships, and create a life that feels more aligned with your values. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions. I use evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method techniques, and trauma-informed care. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my dogs, exploring the outdoors, running, and getting creative through crafting. I believe that the things we do outside of work and the connections we nurture are an important part of creating a fulfilling and balanced life. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist matters. My hope is to provide a space where you feel safe being yourself, understood in your experiences, and supported as you work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
