Introduction

When you heal yourself, you can start to feel yourself! Queer-Led. Community-Grounded. Radically Soft. At Prince Kitty Co, we offer trauma-informed therapy, neurodivergent-affirming assessment services, and accessible community mental health engagement rooted in anti-capitalist, neurodivergent, queer-inclusive care. Led by Angelica Gehlich, LCSW (she/they), our work centers survivors of cult/religious/extremism trauma, intimate partner and gender-based violence, queer and trans folks, neurodivergent individuals, those healing from complex trauma and shame, and those who just need a space to feel more comfortable with who they are today and who they have been throughout their life. Whether you're navigating grief, identity, sexual empowerment, religious trauma, trauma or simply the day to day “horrors,” let’s talk about it. No matter what you have been through or are going through, remember that you are surviving and are here, right now- safe, breathing, and alive. Be gentle with yourself and acknowledge each part of you that has protected you at all costs- the human survival instinct that we cannot hold shame for. I’m glad you are here and I would be honored to be here for (and with) you. Therapy Services: Individual therapy for adults and teens (virtual throughout Virginia) Specializing in: Cult & religious trauma Queer and gender-expansive identity work Sex therapy & body-based shame PTSD, CPTSD, and trauma processing Neurodivergent life (ADHD, AuDHD, masking, burnout) Relationship healing & inner child work Harm reduction and substance use care Sliding scale available | No diagnosis required to begin Assessment Services: Formal diagnostic evaluations for Autism and ADHD Letter writing for gender-affirming care using the informed consent model ADA documentation for workplace accommodations FMLA/disability form support rooted in your actual lived experience Clear, respectful reports that prioritize you, not pathology And yes, the cats will be present* (*as they so choose to be). We believe healing happens best when you can just be you. Sweatpants and pjs always welcome. Trauma jokes welcome. Cats on camera? Already there. Prince Kitty Co is a therapy practice that engages deeply in the community. Prince Kitty Co serves as a non-capitalist avenue for embracing connection, collaboration, and support in our local communities; promoting and empowering the safety in experiencing genuine emotions that may be hard to feel; and working towards making mental and physical health services accessible to all. Our overarching mission is improving accessibility for everyone to have access to resources/basic needs/emotions and to feel safe doing so. Our belief is that in order for the community to be a safer and more inclusive place, the people within the community need to receive care and feel safer as they are within themselves AND in order for people to feel safer as themselves, the community needs to heal. These things are interconnected. In addition to individual and family therapy sessions and Autism/ADHD diagnostic assessments, the focus surrounds accessibility to resources, community work, meow merch, and pay-what-you-can gender affirming trainings/workshops/consultations for your company or organization. Let’s all support each other. Prince Kitty Co, LLC promotes trade/barter/exchange over money when possible to encourage more equitable access.  At Prince Kitty Co, LLC, we’re all about creating awesome partnerships between local businesses, services, and organizations to make mental health and individual therapy more accessible and inclusive. Feeling a little hesitant about starting therapy yourself? No worries, we’ve got free resources and cat quotes to help you get to where you’d like to be! Prince Kitty Co, LLC offers community collaborations between local businesses, services, and organizations to promote access and inclusivity with mental health AND individual/group therapeutic services (clinical and consultation-based).
