Hi! If you are reading this, you are taking a powerful first step into your healing process and I am pleased that you are exploring the possibility of allowing me to walk alongside you through this healing journey. That being said, rapport contributes heavily to therapeutic success, and is something that I very much value in my work with clients. Due to this, I think it is important that you know a bit about me, and the services I provide. I graduated from Monmouth University with a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health. I have experience working in substance use treatment agencies, private practice and outreaches within the community. I work with adults, and young adults through individual, family and group work. I practice through a person centered theoretical orientation along with a holistic approach. I also practice with multicultural humility, and am LGBTQ+ affirming. In my practice with clients, I work on goal setting, development and practicing of communication skills, boundaries and emotional regulation as I find these skills are foundational to our overall mental and physical wellness. Practicing using evidence based techniques and theories, I primarily assists clients in their therapeutic goals that are focused on life transitions and adjustments, stress, self-esteem, anger management, addiction, along with the understanding, managing and coping of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders, or diagnoses. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering for a local animal shelter, being outdoors, traveling, reading, practicing creativity and spending time with family, friends, and my two dogs.
