Introduction

I believe that healing requires aligning the heart and mind toward God. However, for many American Muslims, this connection is clouded by the weight of the past. If you grew up with emotionally immature parents or an authoritarian image of God, you may feel deeply disconnected from your faith, your family, and your most authentic self. I’ve been there, and I understand the courage it takes to unlearn those patterns. Many of my clients carry the invisible scars of complex trauma—childhoods that ranged from neglectful to "less than nurturing"—which now impact their spiritual and emotional well-being. These complex problems require a therapist who dares to think differently. With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health, a Master’s in Islamic Studies, and current PhD research in Counselor Education, I provide a space where you don’t have to "explain" your culture or your Deen. We bridge the gap between religious literacy and evidence-based clinical care to find solutions that actually fit your life. If you are looking for a safe, culturally relevant space to heal without being misunderstood: Bismillah, let’s begin.
