Hi there! My name is Ann Kent. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Family and Child Sciences in 2019, and graduated from Converse College with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2021. I was previously with EMERGE Family Therapy Center in Spartanburg, SC prior to starting my own private practice. I see a variety of therapy clients, however, my bread and butter would be clients ranging from 7 to 65 (aka: kids, tweens, teens, young-mid aged adults) dealing with basic life transitions, anxiety, grief, and neurodivergency. I love integrating basic talk therapy in with play, art, and experiential techniques to provide a safe place for you or your child to learn about their life and emotions and grow into whomever you or they would like to be. I have two offices located at 72 Parkway Commons Ways. One therapy room geared more towards play therapy, and one therapy room for talk therapy. I give the option of rooms for each client and each session - some days we need to lounge in a bean bag with fidgets and some days we need to be in a calming room with a swivel chair or couch. You get to decide!
