Welcome! I offer therapy for adults both in person and online. My approach is based on what we know about attachment, trauma, and resilience. With support, people can grow even in and through painful experiences. I enjoy helping individuals identify what matters most to them in life and set meaningful goals with this in mind. I form relationships with clients based on respect and understanding, including learning ways you are shaped by family, community, and culture. We’ll build on the parts of your life that foster wellness. Working together to understand your emotional experience, thought patterns, and relational processes, we will create a foundation for change. People come to me looking for relief from painful emotions, trying to better understand themselves, and to deal with stress, change, and loss. Many are managing transitions in their lives. I am experienced in helping people cope with depression, anxiety, and grief. I structure therapy as an active and challenging, yet supportive process. Some things I like to make space for in therapy include: making meaning through music, books and art; playing with language to deepen understanding; and finding lightness/humor when appropriate.
