Introduction

Hello, I’m A-J — a dedicated therapist passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find clarity, healing, and lasting relief. I specialize in supporting those navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, OCD, and postpartum challenges. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped with tools to move forward. Trauma & Stress Trauma doesn’t just live in the past — it shows up in the present through triggers, tension, and feeling on guard. Many clients tell me they feel like they’re “stuck” in painful experiences or can’t move past certain memories. I want you to know that this is not a sign of weakness — it’s how the brain holds onto overwhelming events. In therapy, we’ll work gently with your story using EMDR and other approaches, helping your nervous system release that burden so you can live with more peace and less reactivity. Anxiety Anxiety can look like racing thoughts, irritability, overthinking, or even feeling frozen when decisions need to be made. For some, it’s a quiet hum of worry that never shuts off; for others, it’s panic that seems to come out of nowhere. I help clients build practical coping strategies, while also uncovering the deeper patterns that keep anxiety in place. You’ll learn how to soothe your body, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and feel more in control, instead of anxiety controlling you. OCD & Intrusive Thoughts OCD is often misunderstood — it’s not just about being “neat” or “organized.” For many, it’s living with intrusive, unwanted thoughts or urges that feel terrifying, followed by rituals or compulsions to calm the fear. Clients often feel isolated or ashamed because they don’t hear others talk about these struggles. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and CBT to help clients face fears in safe, manageable steps, so they can break free from the cycle of obsessions and compulsions. Together, we’ll replace shame with understanding and empowerment. Postpartum & Perinatal Support Becoming a parent is life-changing — and it’s rarely the picture-perfect version we see on social media. Many new parents feel overwhelmed by exhaustion, guilt, or a loss of identity. Some struggle with postpartum depression, intrusive thoughts, or anxiety that makes even small tasks feel impossible. I want you to know that you don’t have to go through this alone. Therapy provides a safe space to process the changes, reclaim your sense of self, and develop tools to cope with the hard moments. Whether you’re adjusting to twins, juggling multiple young children, or navigating the emotional ups and downs after birth, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion and understanding. Children, Families & Parenting With over 10 years as a school social worker, I’ve supported countless children and families through learning challenges, IEPs, bullying, and behavior concerns. I know how hard it can be as a parent to feel like you’ve tried everything and still worry about your child. My approach is collaborative — working with both children and parents to strengthen coping, communication, and resilience. You’ll feel supported not just as a parent, but as a person who deserves care too. Couples & Relationships Relationships can be our greatest source of joy — but also of stress. Many couples come to me feeling stuck in patterns of miscommunication, distance, or conflict. Using the Gottman Method, I help couples slow down, understand what’s underneath the arguments, and practice new skills for connection. Together, you’ll rebuild trust, deepen intimacy, and learn how to turn toward each other again — not away. Moving Forward Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your relationship, therapy with me is always tailored to your needs. I bring warmth, humor, and compassion into the room, while also grounding our work in evidence-based techniques that truly help. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. 👉 Reach out today and let’s begin this journey toward healing and wholeness.
