Many individuals who come to me desire to feel good but keep running up against the same bumps: perfectionism, never feeling good enough, feeling that they are bad inside. Some clients report that they struggle with obsessive thinking: they ruminate and run through every possible scenario in their head, in an endless loop. Others blame themselves when things don’t go right. Maybe they hide their feelings from themselves and others. They carry pain from the past and are seeking a path towards feeling better. Or, they really want to help a loved one who is struggling but they don’t know how. Does any of that sound familiar to you? I help people in the midst or aftermath of life’s upheavals, when they have been through a death, an illness, a trauma, when the ways they coped with stress are no longer sufficient. They are looking for a safe space where they can heal from self-blame, where they can develop compassion towards parts of themselves that trouble them, to heal patterns and problems from the inside out and move forward in life.
