Hi, I’m Anne, and I’m here to offer you support without stigma. I work from a place of deep compassion and non-judgment, believing firmly that we all have the capacity for growth and healing. We are resilient, adaptive creatures who develop strategies to survive and thrive. We do what we need to do to make it through the day. But sometimes, old coping mechanisms don't work for us anymore. Through insight, curiosity, and the safety of a strong therapeutic relationship, we can explore together how your past strategies may be keeping you stuck, and discover new ways of being, feeling, thinking, and relating that align with who you are now and who you want to become. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly those exploring gender and sexuality later in life. I’m also experienced working with academics, caregivers, parents of children with disabilities, bodyworkers, healthcare professionals, energy workers and activists experiencing burnout. Past internship and volunteer roles included work with houseless clients, in a student counseling center at a naturopathic college, on a women’s crisis line and in a domestic violence shelter. I'm kink-aware, sex-positive, and experienced with clients who practice ethical non-monogamy and/or polyamory. My approach is relational and client-centered, drawing on Control Mastery Theory, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness practices. I bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to my practice, grounded in both a PhD in Cultural Studies and an MSW in Clinical Social Work. My professional journey has woven through higher education, DEI consulting, leadership coaching and nonprofit work, giving me deep insight into how systems, cultures, and identities shape our lived experiences.
