I became a psychologist and therapist because I was fascinated by people, and it felt good to be able to provide comfort to someone or help make their day just a little bit better. I am fortunate to do something that I think brings more positivity and healing into the world instead of contributing more pain and turmoil. I love what I do! It is a gift to have people trust me with their vulnerability, emotions and inner lives. I believe in transparency and direct communication to avoid misunderstanding. I value the ways people's identities (race, gender, sexuality, etc.) impact their lives and address this in therapy. I have witnessed the power of the therapy relationship to help people make lasting changes in their life. I have been providing therapy over 20 years and have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relationship and family issues, self-esteem, men's issues, sexuality, religion and spirituality, career issues, and much more. Therapy works! It takes strength, courage and determination to seek help. Therapy can be an enriching, powerful journey. People come to therapy because they want something to change and they want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. Therapy can also be uncomfortable and hard work. Experience has taught me that human beings possess the most amazing resilience, strength, and capacity to heal no matter what challenges they have faced in life. I work to build on these strengths to help people achieve the changes that they want in life. I look forward to meeting you.
