I came to psychiatric care through an unexpected path - as a professional dancer who became fascinated by how deeply our bodies hold our stories, our pain, and ultimately our capacity for healing. That curiosity led me through years of psychiatric nursing in eating disorder treatment, where I watched young people struggle not just with food or mood, but with the fundamental question of how to live in their bodies without it feeling like a war. Now, as a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I work with teens and young adults navigating eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and the messy, complicated work of becoming themselves. My approach isn't about fixing you or making you fit some predetermined mold of "healthy." It's about creating space for you to discover what healing actually means for you - which might look different than what anyone else expects. I specialize in medication management alongside therapy that recognizes you're not just a brain that needs adjusting. You're a whole person. That means we'll talk about what's happening in your mind, yes, but also what you're feeling in your body, how you move through the world, what nourishes you beyond food. I bring training in dance/movement therapy and a holistic lens that considers all the pieces of who you are. If you're tired of feeling like a diagnosis or a problem to be solved, if you want someone who gets that recovery isn't linear and perfection isn't the goal - let's talk. You deserve care that meets you where you are, not where anyone thinks you should be.
