Introduction

Welcome — I’m Antoinlete Pennycooke, LMHC I’m really glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when life feels heavy or confusing, or when you’ve been carrying things alone for far too long. My role is to make this next step feel safe, clear, and grounded. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the owner of Florida Mental Health & EAP Services, a fully virtual practice serving clients across Florida. I work with children, teens, adults, families, and employees who are navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. More than anything, I work with people who want something to finally change — in their life, their relationships, their family dynamics, or the way they feel inside. How I Work My style is warm, steady, intuitive, and straightforward. Clients often tell me that I “get them” quickly, even when they’re struggling to put things into words — and that they feel seen and understood without judgment. I use a blend of: trauma-informed care attachment-based therapy CBT and DBT-informed tools emotionally focused interventions skills for emotional regulation and coping intuitive insight and deep attunement I’m not the kind of therapist who sits quietly and lets you do all the work. I’m engaged, collaborative, and human. I ask thoughtful questions, offer observations you may not have noticed yet, and help you understand your patterns with both compassion and clarity. While therapy is a safe space to open up, it’s also a place for growth, movement, and tangible change. It’s important to me that our work actually shifts something in your life — that it helps you experience real change, whether that’s in your relationships, your family, your emotional world, or the way you show up in your everyday life. What You Can Expect With Me You can expect: a safe, calm space to be honest someone who listens beneath the surface strong boundaries that create emotional safety help naming things you haven’t had words for skills you can actually apply in your daily life support that is culturally responsive and grounded accountability delivered with care, not criticism a therapist who cares deeply about your actual progress You don’t have to protect me from your story. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be “strong” here. Just show up exactly as you are. My Belief About Healing Healing doesn’t happen by keeping everything inside or trying to manage it all alone. It happens in a relationship where you feel safe, respected, and supported — and where you have the clarity and tools to create meaningful change in your life. My job isn’t to fix you. My job is to walk with you, help you understand your patterns, support you through the hard parts, and guide you toward strength, peace, and emotional freedom. You deserve a place where your full story — spoken and unspoken — can be held with care. If you’re ready, I’m here.
