Taking the first step toward healing can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can share your story, feel heard, and begin your journey toward growth and healing. I have been working in the field of social services since 2003 and earned my Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Trauma-Informed Care from Northern Kentucky University in 2015. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) in the State of Ohio. In addition to my social work background, I have education and experience in criminal justice and chemical dependency, allowing me to bring a well-rounded perspective to the therapeutic process. Throughout my career, I have spent more than a decade working in child welfare, supporting children and families impacted by abuse, neglect, trauma, mental health challenges, substance use, family conflict, and life transitions. These experiences have strengthened my belief that healing begins when people feel understood, supported, and empowered. My approach to therapy is affirming, open-minded, and collaborative. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I want to understand, "What happened to you?" I believe our experiences shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and navigate life's challenges. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop healthier ways of coping and thriving. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, ADHD, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, PTSD, stress management, life transitions, and family-related concerns. I also have experience supporting clients with bipolar disorder, OCD, panic disorders, maternal mental health concerns, identity exploration, infertility, eating disorders, and cultural or ethnic issues. My therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual's unique needs and may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, and other evidence-based interventions. My hope is to help you gain emotional awareness, build healthy coping skills, establish meaningful boundaries, heal unresolved wounds, and create healthier relationships—with yourself and others. Through compassion, accountability, and support, I strive to help clients feel empowered, unpack difficult emotions, and discover their own resilience and strength. No matter where you are in your journey, I am committed to meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you move toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
