People come to therapy for a lot of different reasons, but feeling stuck or feeling like something just isn’t quite right is usually a big part of it. Sometimes there’s a specific situation you need help with, and other times you just know something isn’t working but don’t even know where to start. I work with a wide range of concerns, but the most important thing I do is get to know you and help you get to know yourself better so you can make healthier decisions for your life. In session, you don’t have to have it all figured out. Some people need space to lay out the full story, and others don’t even know where to begin. I’m not going to rush that process—sometimes that means I’m mostly listening while you get it all out. But if you’re open to it, I’m very active in the process. I’ll help you understand what’s actually happening and why, often in ways that just click and stick with you outside of session. Clients will come back and say things like “that helped me get through the week” or “I looked at that situation completely differently.” Along with that, I’ll give you practical tools you can start using right away so you can actually see and feel progress.
