You may appear steady on the outside while feeling unsettled on the inside—questioning who you are, where you belong, or why certain relationships feel so hard. Many of the people I work with grew up in religious environments that shaped their sense of self in painful or confusing ways, especially LGBTQ folks who were taught—directly or indirectly—that parts of them were unacceptable. Therapy is a space to untangle that history and build a more authentic sense of self by working through ways in which old beliefs still affect boundaries, intimacy, or self-trust. I work with adults in their 30s and 40s who want to heal from religious trauma, strengthen their sense of self, and create healthier relationships. Together, we’ll deconstruct patterns that once helped you survive but no longer serve you and we will explore how your past experiences shaped you while also focusing on how you want to live and relate now. My approach is collaborative and insight-oriented. I believe healing happens through curiosity, reflection, and a genuine therapeutic relationship. I provide a thoughtful, affirming, space for clients at any stage of questioning, healing, or growth. If you’re looking for therapy that values self-understanding, human connection and lasting change, I look forward to hearing from you!
