Finding the right therapist can make it easier to begin making sense of what you’re going through. I’m Ariel Escobedo, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 19 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, workplace stress, and patterns of self-criticism or feeling stuck. My style is warm, collaborative, curious, and engaged. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I help clients understand what may be happening beneath them—the experiences, emotions, beliefs, and patterns that have developed over time and may continue to influence how they feel about themselves and relate to others. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is central to my work. IFS offers a compassionate way of understanding the different “parts” of ourselves, including parts that may become anxious, critical, overwhelmed, avoidant, or protective. Instead of judging or fighting these parts, we work together to understand what they are trying to protect and help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. I also integrate attachment-based, strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and other evidence-informed approaches based on your individual needs. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Some clients come wanting relief from anxiety or stress. Others want to understand recurring relationship patterns, heal from difficult experiences, navigate a major transition, or feel more grounded and connected to themselves. As a bilingual English/Spanish therapist, I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I strive to create an inclusive space where you can speak openly, explore difficult experiences without judgment, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and have worked in mental health since 2002. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California since 2007 and am also licensed in Nevada and New York. I provide telehealth therapy to adults located in California, Nevada, and New York. If you’re considering therapy and would like to see whether we might be a good fit, I welcome you to request a consultation.
