Our relationship in therapy is the tool that starts the healing. My initial goal is for you to feel comfortable and cared for. I prioritize bringing my genuine self to each session, using open communication, and sharing in laughter and check-ins to help make the environment warm and safe. Once you feel safe, the work can begin. I have experience with individuals and families experiencing mental health issues, substance use, life transitions, and trauma. I feel particularly passionate about working with pregnant and parenting women, people who are experiencing grief and loss and those who are struggling with substance use concerns within the family. Seeking help is hard. I'd like to make it as easy as possible for you to start. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the first building block for healing. If you would like to chat, I can provide a free phone consultation to see if we are a good match and if not, hopefully I can point you in the direction of someone else who might be.
