Introduction

I’m a trauma-informed, holistic counselor specializing in addiction and substance use recovery. I began this work after witnessing—both personally and professionally—how often substance use is misunderstood as a problem in itself, rather than a response to pain, stress, trauma, or disconnection of the "self". My clinical work is grounded in the belief that healing happens when people feel safe, respected, and understood as whole human beings. I specialize in working with adults navigating substance use, recovery, relapse prevention, and co-occurring emotional challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, identity stress, and life transitions. Many of my clients have spent years being “the strong one,” managing responsibilities, or surviving difficult circumstances, and are now ready to understand their patterns more deeply and create sustainable change. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based practices with a holistic lens that considers the mind, body, emotions, relationships, and lived experience. Therapy with me focuses not only on reducing harmful behaviors, but on building emotional regulation, self-understanding, coping skills, and a sense of meaning and connection. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel supported, empowered, and never shamed. Whether you are in early recovery, returning after a setback, or exploring your relationship with substances, my goal is to help you move toward healing at a pace that feels safe and sustainable for you.
