Hello, my name is Asabi Abdul-Mumit. I am currently a graduate student at Capella University, where I am earning my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am completing my fieldwork placement at Macchian Solutions Psychological Services under the supervision of Dr. Bridgett Tate, Licensed Psychologist. Helping people has always been a big part of who I am. Before starting my counseling journey, I worked in education, healthcare, interpreting, and behavioral health. Each role taught me something different about people, culture, communication, and the importance of feeling heard and understood. I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults, including individuals with ADHD and autism. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, build confidence, and learn practical skills that can support them in their daily lives. I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation concerns, behavioral challenges, self esteem concerns, and major life changes. As a graduate student clinician, I provide counseling services under supervision while continuing to grow through training, education, and hands on experience. My goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming space where clients can be themselves, speak honestly, and feel supported without judgment.
