A life well lived is a life that involves an array of experiences, challenges, and emotions. I believe that we are all born with an inner strength that aids and guides us through our individual journey. However, there are times in life when we are confronted with situations and emotions that leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just simply uncertain of our next steps. These moments of vulnerability can be uncomfortable and even disabling. It is important to know that everyone experiences these moments in life and as interactive beings we often seek support from friends, family, and peers. However, there are times in life when we need something more or something a little different to help us not just get through the situation but to come out thriving. As your therapist, I will create a safe, confidential space where you can explore your feelings, face your hidden vulnerabilities, and confront your struggles. Together, we will identify your needs as well as inner strengths and abilities. It is my hope that our work together will provide you key personal insight and remind you of your resilience as you move into your future more empowered and confident. As your therapist, I will utilize a variety of tools and therapeutic approaches to support your journey. I have 20 years of experience working with adults from various ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, or stress, counseling can empower you to regain control of your situation and subsequent emotional reactions. We can work together to identify the sources of your stress, learn and practice various coping strategies, as well as coordinate with your physician should you need assistance with medication to address your symptoms. Counseling can also help you with relationship issues, parenting challenges, coping with a personal or loved one’s diagnosis, as well as caregiver stress/burnout, and grief/loss issues. Other areas, I have assisted clients with include attaining an improved work/life balance, facing the challenges that result from pausing your career to raise a family, and managing cultural and societal expectations. I also provide manager coaching and consultation services. I have over 15 years of experience as a manager. I have an extensive background in managing and supervising clinicians, administrative staff, and volunteers. My background as a manager includes fiscal responsibilities, hiring/recruiting, training, opening new clinics, developing and implementing new policies and procedures, as well as maintaining strong relationships with contracted partners. Therefore, as a therapist and an experienced manager, I have a unique perspective into building and leading a successful team. Whether you are a new or experienced manager, or hold a leadership position in any organization, coaching and consultation services will allow you to gain insight into your management style, identify your strengths and weakness, and move you toward becoming a more effective leader. If you have questions or feel that I might be able to support you in any way, please feel free to reach out. Phone: (512)763-0592 https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/816733
