Ashlee (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a diverse human services background spanning work with children, adolescents, and adults. Before becoming a therapist, she worked as a science teacher, direct support professional, and trauma-informed yoga instructor, all of which influence her holistic, integrative, and embodied approach to practice. Her work with incarcerated adolescents sparked a deep fascination with trauma, the nervous system, and what helps people heal. Ashlee enjoys supporting adolescent and adult clients with cPTSD, PTSD, depression, anxiety, attachment issues, and trauma. She primarily works through bottom-up and experiential approaches, including EMDR, somatic interventions, IFS parts work, and neurofeedback. She uses a collaborative approach to meet clients where they are and identify goals, build on their strengths, and find what works best in their unique circumstances. As an Autistic counselor, Ashlee is especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals through a neurodiversity-affirming lens. She prioritizes helping these clients develop a strengths-based identity, explore unmasking, and identify supports and resources needed to thrive. Ashlee's practice is proudly LGBTQ+-affirming, and she is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space where all clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Outside of the counseling space, Ashlee enjoys outdoor adventure and play with her partner and two dogs. Some of her favorite activities include rock climbing, paddleboarding, and pickleball. When she isn’t able to get outside, she enjoys reading, learning Indonesian, yoga, meditation, and weightlifting.
