Hi there, welcome! I started out my career in the field of education, I taught for seven years and loved working with children, loved teaching but the politics of teaching was taking the joy out of it for me. I decided I still wanted to be in a helping profession so I went back to Case Western Reserve University and earned my Masters In Social work. I have had a multitude of different experiences throughout my internship and the eight following years in the practice. I started my career in the crisis department at a community mental health agency which equipped me with the knowledge and skills to not only help my clients stay safe but to help them establish coping skills to navigate many life circumstances. After several years in the crisis department I moved to a different agency and was a therapist in a local middle school for two years. I wanted to move into a supervisory role but the agency didn't have available opportunities so I transitioned into the private practice setting. I have been working in private practice for three years and love every minute of it. My goal is to create a welcoming, inviting, non-judgemental space where my clients can feel comfortable sharing some of the most vulnerable things without concern of perception. We all struggle with something, it is an honor to be able to be there for you. I currently only work with individual adults. I don't specialize in couples counseling or severe substance use concerns.
