Introduction

Hi, I’m Ashley, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of experience caring for adults across a wide range of mental health needs. I believe the best mental health care begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, without pressure, and without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. Much of my career has been spent in community mental health, supporting adults living with serious, chronic mental illness in trauma-informed settings. Many of my patients were navigating generational trauma while facing significant barriers to care, resources, and support. That experience has been both professionally and personally transformative, and it continues to shape the way I care for every person I meet. One of the most important lessons I've learned is that suffering isn't something to compare. Whether you're living with severe mental illness, struggling through a major life transition, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the weight of everyday life, your experience is valid. Pain doesn't have to reach a certain threshold to deserve care. If you're suffering, you deserve support, and I'm honored to walk alongside you. You don't have to arrive with the right words or know exactly where to start. Sometimes the most honest answer is, "I don't know." That's enough. My approach combines evidence-based treatment with shared decision-making, active listening, genuine compassion, and zero judgment. I believe you deserve to understand your options and feel like an active partner in your care—not simply someone being told what to do. I enjoy caring for adults who are struggling, overwhelmed, or simply not feeling like themselves. I also have a special place in my heart for women navigating pregnancy and the postpartum period. As a mother of young children, I know that motherhood is not all rainbows and butterflies. It can be beautiful, exhausting, joyful, isolating, overwhelming, and complicated—sometimes all in the same day. You don't have to carry that weight alone. My clinical experience includes treating complex psychiatric conditions such as major depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, and medication management for individuals with multiple psychiatric diagnoses. I stay current with emerging psychiatric research and evidence-based treatments while never losing sight of the person behind the diagnosis. Together, we'll create a thoughtful, realistic treatment plan that aligns with your goals, your values, and the life you're actually living.
