Hi! I'm Ashley. I've always believed that every person has a story worth understanding. Our experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. Yet somewhere along the way, life has a way of convincing us that those experiences define who we are. During some of my own difficult seasons, I used to joke that "my life is one big novela that never ends." Over time, I realized that while those experiences became part of my story, they didn't have to define how the rest of it would unfold. Healing isn't about changing your past. It's about changing the relationship you have with it. That's why I created Beyond the Script Counseling—a space to help you move forward without letting your past define what comes next. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported as we explore your story, recognize the strengths that have always been there, and begin creating a future that reflects who you are. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are trying to make sense of where they've been, where they are now, and where they want to go next. Sessions are offered virtually and in person. I work with clients navigating: Anxiety & Overthinking — Worry, perfectionism, self-pressure, and difficulty quieting your mind Depression & Emotional Overwhelm — Feeling sad, drained, disconnected, or unlike yourself Self-Esteem & Confidence — Self-doubt, people-pleasing, and feeling like you're not enough Stress & Burnout — Feeling stretched too thin, exhausted, or constantly running on empty Life Transitions — Adjusting to change, unexpected circumstances, or uncertainty about what comes next Grief & Loss — Processing loss and learning how to move forward while honoring what mattered Boundaries & Relationships — Putting your needs first, saying no, and navigating relationships where you feel unheard or misunderstood Past Experiences & Unhelpful Patterns — Understanding how your past may still influence your present and breaking patterns that no longer serve you Identity & Personal Growth — Figuring out who you are, what you want, and how to live according to your own values rather than others' expectations My role is to meet you where you are, help you make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, and support you as you discover what you want to carry forward—and what you're ready to rewrite. Because the things you've been through may be part of your story, but they don't get to write the rest of it.
