Introduction

Hi, I'm Ashley. I am a military spouse and mother, and my own life experiences ultimately led me to pursue a career in social work. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Liberty University. Since graduating, I have worked in outpatient mental health supporting adolescents, adults, and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, and other mental health and life challenges. I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you are being asked to talk about parts of your life that may feel difficult, personal, or overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, asking questions, and working through challenges without judgment. My approach to therapy is collaborative and strengths-based. I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop strategies that help you move toward the life you want. I primarily incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based interventions. Depending on your needs, our work may focus on understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; developing healthier coping and emotional regulation skills; or improving communication and relationships. Does this sound like what you're looking for? If so, feel free to request an appointment or schedule a consultation so we can talk more.
