Ashley Schumacher is a therapist whose path to this work began in religious life and continued through her service of the United States Navy Chaplain Corps as a Religious Program Specialist. Both experiences shaped a deep desire to be present with people who are suffering, and that desire is what drives her work today. She's passionate about helping people find healing, hope, and a renewed sense of meaning in their relationships and their lives. Ashley earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Social Work, from Fontbonne University. She has worked in a variety of settings and communities, and she's especially passionate about helping people heal from trauma that runs deep, shaped not just by personal experience, but by family, community, and the world around them. Her work centers on treating every person with dignity, and paying close attention to the pain that shows up both within a person and in their relationships with others.
