Hello, I'm Ashley Timbrell, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual therapy to adults in California and Texas. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep interest in understanding people and helping them navigate life's challenges. After earning my bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University, I completed my Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration at the University of Houston. Since then, I've had the privilege of helping individuals work through anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, depression, perfectionism, and self-esteem concerns. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I integrate evidence-based therapies—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies—to help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping skills, and create lasting change. Together, we'll identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, build on your strengths, and work toward goals that align with the life you want to live. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, struggling in your relationships, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can provide a supportive space to gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and equipped to move forward with greater peace and purpose.
