Hi, I’m Asya Little, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate based in North Carolina. I work with adolescents and young adults who are trying to make sense of themselves while navigating the pressures of school, family expectations, relationships, and the many transitions that come with growing up. Many of the people I work with feel stuck between who they’ve been told to be and who they’re still discovering themselves to be. They may struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, past trauma, identity questions, or difficulty managing emotions and relationships. Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand your patterns, and learn how to make decisions that actually align with who you are and who you want to be. My approach is trauma-informed, practical, and collaborative. I integrate techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients build skills for emotional regulation, communication, and navigating real-life challenges. Together, we explore both the emotional and logical sides of situations so you can respond to life in ways that feel more intentional and grounded. I’m especially passionate about supporting Black youth and young adults who are navigating identity, generational expectations, and the unique stressors that come with living in a complex and often overwhelming world. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to grow. Whether you're adjusting to a new life stage, working through past experiences, or trying to better understand yourself, therapy can be a place to reconnect with your voice and move forward with clarity.
