Hi! My name is Austin (he/him), and I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen: your background, your beliefs, and the strengths you already bring into the room. Many of the people I work with come in feeling stuck. They might be caught in anxiety or depression, overwhelmed by stress or a big life change, struggling with substance use or other addictive behaviors, or worn out from saying “yes” when they mean “no.” Together, we’ll get to the root of what’s going on and build practical skills to manage your emotions, cope with hard situations, stay grounded in the present, and move toward the life you actually want. My approach is person-centered and holistic, drawing from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, mindfulness, exposure-based strategies, and EMDR. I bring curiosity, honesty, and a good sense of humor to sessions, and I’m not afraid to gently challenge you when it will help you grow. Therapy with me doesn’t have to mean sitting on a couch for an hour. Depending on what helps you most, we might take a walk-and-talk session outside or use interactive tools and games to keep things engaging. My goal is to make therapy feel approachable and real.
