Hi! I am Austin and I am a therapist here at Denver Mental Health Collective. But you can also call me a Life-Untangler, Space Holder, and Self-Esteem Builder. I help people feel confident in their identities so that they can tackle life head on and come out on the other side even stronger. My ideal clients are young adults and adults who are navigating life transitions, and are experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, boundaries, and substance use among other concerns. Do things in your life feel overwhelming or hard to wrangle in? My goal is to help the clients that I work with take all of their pieces of their puzzle and learn how to put them back together again. Life may not always make sense but we can certainly do our best to work with what we have. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Drake University and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The University of Denver. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado working toward full licensure! During my education, I spent time doing one-on-one and group therapy with incarcerated folks in Denver. When I am not at work I enjoy reading sci-fi, mystery/thriller, and literary fiction books, hiking, and playing tennis. I take pride in my collection of plants at home that I tend to as well as appreciate the occasional concert or show!
