Austyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor who believes in the power of meaningful conversations to create lasting change. His journey into the mental health field began at Wheaton College, where he earned a B.A. in Communication and an M.A. in Christian Formation & Student Development. During this time, he developed a passion for helping young adults navigate big questions about identity, purpose, and belonging. That passion led him to pursue an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, equipping him to support individuals in building lives of clarity and intention. Austyn enjoys working with teens, young adults, and individuals from all walks of life. He is trained in EMDR, a powerful tool for processing trauma and emotional challenges, and serves as a Facilitator and Trainer for the Prepare/Enrich assessment, helping pre-marital couples strengthen their relationships, and helping couples identify strengths and growth areas. At the heart of his work, Austyn helps clients uncover new insights about themselves—their desires, personalities, and behaviors—so they can take intentional steps toward real, meaningful change. Austyn has provided training and CEUs on a variety of topics including counselor collaboration, Bowen family systems theory, ethical use of technology in counseling, personality assessment and evaluation, young adult identity formation, ethical alignment: building a collaborative philosophy of client care in private practice, anxiety, depression, Prepare-Enrich, and assessing for suicidality. Austyn believes counseling can be a powerful experience for anyone curious to grow and is ready to embrace the challenge of becoming the person they were uniquely created to be.
