Hello, my name is Batool Charara. I work with children (ages 6–10), preteens, teens, adults, and elders (65+), supporting individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, low self-esteem, social anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I also work with many clients who value psychoeducation and want to understand why patterns exist, not just how to cope. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and flexible. I believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I integrate evidence-based and holistic approaches to meet clients where they are. Creating a safe, judgment-free space is central to my work, allowing clients to feel seen, supported, and respected. I am a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker and specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Many of the clients I work with appreciate gaining insight into their patterns, but I believe insight alone is not enough. While beginning therapy is a meaningful step, real change happens when awareness turns into action. Therapy often gives language before it gives practice. Together, we explore patterns, boundaries, and responses and work toward applying meaningful change both in and outside of sessions. I also notice how easy it is to come into therapy hoping it will change or fix other people. Many clients seek peace or relief, only to realize that part of the work is grieving what they cannot control. Therapy then becomes a process of learning to focus on your own choices, boundaries, and healing rather than waiting for someone else to change. Growth isn’t linear, and while you don’t have to do it alone, it does require patience, practice, and self-compassion. Every person who steps into my office carries a story and a voice that deserves to be heard. Seeking therapy isn’t only about something being wrong it can also be about wanting deeper understanding, healthier patterns, or meaningful change. I truly love the work I do and am committed to offering a safe, grounded space where healing and growth can unfold.
