If you're exhausted, I'd like to offer a place to rest. I work with adults who feel the ways they've "made it through" no longer work, focused on healing related to anxiety, trauma, burnout, and grief/loss. I firmly believe every human has a right to feel safe and secure as they navigate the various challenges of life, whatever those may be. I consider the most important part of my job to be allowing a space for this, giving support for these challenges alongside my clients. The goal is to meet you where you are, and see how I can best help in that space. I aim to provide and create that safe environment first and foremost, going at your pace and allowing you to feel ready to work toward getting what you need out of our sessions together. You know you best, my job is to help guide you to where you feel like life is more manageable for you specifically, no “shoulds” involved. Professionally, my work looks like a mixture of official modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Somatic-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (or Parts work), Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. What this means in reality is that I will use my knowledge and training to find an approach that you feel good about and works for you, without a rigid one-size-fits-all approach. In addition to this, you also have the option of including Odin in our work together; Odin is a professional therapy dog trained in supporting individuals with trauma, anxiety, and related struggles through deep pressure therapy, interrupting anxious behaviors, or simply being a cuddly guy to sit with and pet.
