Introduction

My name is Belen Cantu, and I have been a licensed professional counselor for the past thirteen years. I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, and relationship concerns. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I often integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and behavioral strategies to help clients develop practical coping skills while also exploring deeper patterns that may impact their well being. I believe that counseling is a partnership built on trust and respect. My role is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to work toward your goals. Whether you are navigating difficult emotions, adjusting to life changes, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to walk alongside you in the process. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Texas A & M International University, and have experience working in community mental health, clinical settings and private practice. I am passionate about helping people build resilience and discover tools that promote lasting change. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time outdoors and spending time with family, which help me maintain balance and bring fresh perspective into my work. My goal as a counselor is to provide you with a supportive space where you can explore challenges, celebrate progress, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
