Hello, I’m Bella Crouchet, a mental health therapist dedicated to supporting women through the personal, relational, and emotional complexities of adulthood. My clinical interests include self-esteem, identity, anxiety, emotional well-being, relationships, family dynamics, and significant life transitions. I also have experience working with families, which has given me a nuanced understanding of the ways relationships, changing roles, and family expectations shape our sense of self. For many women, life after 40 brings a period of meaningful reflection. Children become independent. Longstanding roles within the family begin to shift. Careers evolve, relationships change, and priorities take on new meaning. After years of meeting the needs of others, you may find yourself considering what you want for your own life and who you want to be in this next stage. An empty nest, a changing marriage, a new professional direction, or simply the passage of time can prompt questions that have remained in the background for years. Who am I beyond the roles I have carried? What do I value now? What would a fulfilling life look like at this stage? Therapy provides a private and intentional space to explore those questions. Our work may focus on developing a stronger sense of self, cultivating confidence, establishing thoughtful boundaries, understanding relational patterns, or navigating change with greater clarity and emotional steadiness. My approach is individualized, person-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and strengths-based approaches, incorporating each according to your circumstances and goals. I place considerable value on the therapeutic relationship and on creating an environment in which you feel respected, understood, and free to examine your experiences with honesty. Therapy does not require a crisis. It may begin with a desire for greater clarity, a renewed sense of self, or a more considered approach to the life you are living. Whether you are adjusting to an empty nest, reevaluating long-standing patterns, experiencing changes within your relationships, or entering a new stage of adulthood, therapy offers the space to examine what matters to you now and determine what you want to carry forward. My role is to provide a thoughtful, private, and discerning space for that process. Together, we will explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped you while giving careful attention to the person you are becoming. The aim is not simply to navigate change, but to approach this stage of life with greater self-possession, clarity, and intention.
