In 2000, I qualified as a Social Worker in Oxford, England. I began training as a marriage and family therapist in around 2016, gaining my Masters in systemic psychotherapy in 2018. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 15 years, initially as an individual therapist using CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and other proven approaches, before widening my scope to help couples and families, using systemic psychotherapy and the most effective couples therapy approaches I could find (e.g. the Gottman method). I work with adults who come to me with anxiety, depression, anger problems and other emotional difficulties. Sometimes my clients' issues are preventing them from achieving their full potential in their work, school, friendships and intimate relationships. A large part of my work is with couples who come to me to help them resolve their relationship difficulties. I use thoughtful questions and great listening skills to really understand what things are like for my clients, reflectively validating their feelings and expressing empathy with their situations, before beginning to share with them some of the wide range of skills and approaches I've found to be effective towards finding solutions to their difficulties.
