Introduction

Benita has her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and works as a pre-licensed counseling clinician with a focus on trauma-informed, client-centered care at Indigo Therapy & Wellness, located in Kennesaw, GA, under the supervision of Kara McDaniels (#LPC004129). She primarily works with adults and couples navigating trauma, relationship challenges, betrayal trauma, narcissistic and emotional abuse, divorce, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Before entering the counseling field, she built a thriving holistic life coaching practice supporting individuals through many of these same experiences. She has specialized training in couples counseling, relationship dynamics, attachment, betrayal and relational trauma, and patterns of antagonistic or emotionally harmful behavior. She is especially passionate about helping survivors of narcissistic abuse and unhealthy relationship dynamics rebuild trust in themselves, establish healthy boundaries, and move toward greater emotional safety and confidence. Fluent in both English and German, Benita is passionate about working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She strives to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported in their healing journey.
